The Elephant Sanctuary
Eastern Region
This sanctuary started in 1999 with only 5 elephants and is located near the beautiful Hartbeesport Dam.
Visitors are given an informative tour and are able to touch, feed and interact with these magnificent creatures. You can also experience a very intimate elephant bare back ride.
Overnight accommodation is available. Tours run 7 days a week at 08h00, 10h00 and 14h00.
You can also grab a refreshment or a light meal at the restaurant and purchase a few goodies at the curio shop.
